Hi! Thank you for visiting my site!
I am an actor, singer, and producer based in New York City. I perform and produce because I love storytelling, and I believe that good stories provoke unique levels of enjoyment, empathy, critical thought, and conversation when brought to life by performers and creative teams. Bringing stories to life affords me the opportunity to consider the experiences and emotions of people like and unlike myself. When I perform, I strive to give the audience some kind of emotional reaction – often rollicking laughter – and something to think about or discuss.
I am a diligent self-starter who does not wait for opportunity. I am Co-Artistic Director as well as Managing Director of a year-and-a-half old theatre company, West of 10th. With West of 10th, I can tell the particular stories that I feel compelled to share with audiences, and I have the opportunity to hand-pick roles that both challenge me and provide creative fulfillment. We are small but growing – keep an eye out for us!
I am also a constant student. Right now, I am usually studying the performing arts, but I am a quintessential liberal arts student: I am always trying to learn as much as I can and am fascinated by diverse topics. I graduated summa cum laude from Middlebury College in 2013 with a BA in theatre with an acting focus and minors in math and French. My liberal arts education taught me to be curious, to challenge established ideas, to search for creative solutions, and to collaborate – qualities that serve me well as an actor and creator. Here in New York, I study consistently at The Barrow Group. Learning their stress-free, natural approach to acting was eye-opening for me. I also train in voice, dance, on-camera acting, and improv.
In addition to performing, I love baking, climbing things, math, looking at stars, and the winter Olympics.
